Dear Family and Friends,                                                                       7 Jan 2016

Well it has been a while since we have updated the website.  A person tends to forget about the family home page when there is FaceBook to compete with.  We have ended our stay in South Georgia and moved to Wichita Kansas.  It's like seeing UK in your rear view mirror.  We are renting a house in Derby Kansas and love it.  It's a little big for just two people but Pam is not having a problem filling the empty spaces.

We got assigned to McConnell AFB in August and Richi is running another Aircraft Maintenance Unit.  The aircraft assigned are KC-135 aerial refuelers (tankers).  A little different from the C-130s but they still have a unique mission.  He loves the job and is pleased with the leadership.  Although the area has a lot of golf courses the amount of days we get to play are very limited.  Yep we have four seasons here and we are in the midst of winter now.  Needless to say we was golfing during in January when we were stationed at Moody and now we barely leave the house because of the bitter cold and wind.

We made some great friends and do miss them but we have moved closer to our retirement home and our boys.  We are planning to build on our property we bought a few years ago in Warrensburg MO and are excited about it.  The first build will be our (Richi's) shop which we will live in (if need be) while the house in being built.

The boys came to visit us right after we got settled in and that was awesome.  Don't get us wrong we love are boys, but man we don't much sleep when they leave either.  I guess we've all adjusted pretty well to the empty nester lifestyle.  We visit them and they visit us so it works out very well.  We hosted Thanksgiving at our place for some folks Richi works with and the boys came up the day after.  We all made the trip in to the great state to visit our families during Christmas.

Our eldest son, Corey is still a Crew Chief on the B-2 Bomber with the Missouri Air National Guard.  He has bought him a duplex and rents out one side and half of his side.  Tony, his buddy from high school, is his room mate.  Seeings how Dad can't play ball any more (bad knees), Corey has gotten into golfing a little more this year.  He has this urge to beat his dad on a regular basis.  Dad, so far, has had the upper hand with hitting the ball in the fairway.  Dad don't hit the ball as far as Corey but usually has a better second shot and don't lose as many balls.  They've played in a few tournaments and did fairly well.  Heck we had Pam play in a tourney with us.  Corey has a girlfriend, Samantha, he has been with for about a year now and they seem to be pretty serious.  Who knows we may end up being in-laws this year.

Austin is still running a lawn mowing/landscaping business.  He still enjoys being outside and his owner has made him his go to guy.  He moved into an apartment with his buddy, Jamey, from high school when Corey bought his house.  They get along great and Jamey is working with him now.  Austin has taken up golfing a little bit as well.  We've been able to play a few rounds together now that we are closer.  Him and his sweetheart, Jaelyn, have been together for almost a year now and seem to be pretty serious.  Who knows they may make us in-laws this year.

     As for myself,

It’s our hope for all that during this season you will find the peace and joy that Jesus Christ brought to us that “first” Christmas.  May your new year be blessed.

Our Love
